First of all, I read something earlier today saying that Confidential had an incredibly shippy vid of Ten/Donna. I've completely forgotten who it was said it, but my god, you were right. I am shipping them like whoa now and I wasn't really before.
I should have turned off after that though, because immediately afterwards, RTD, talking about the end of the episode and the Doctor's new-school button-pressing dilemma v10.0, essentially said that we'll never know whether he would have done it or not, and that that's a good thing -- he likes it that way.
I realise I bang on and on about the Doctor making the right-but-hard (or should that be hard-but-right?) choices, but it's important to me, dammit. And especially given how Remembrance-y bits of the ep were, I find it particularly disappointing.
I think I'm going to have to reread Damaged Goods sometime soon and see whether it fits with this view RTD's giving of the Doctor's characterisation or not. 'Cos my memory says that had Seven doing a whole bunch of things that are of the type that make me love him. And if I'm right, why has Rusty forgotten all that?
(incidentally, isn't this a shiny icon? it's by elen_ancalima)
