Angel #4 Oh, yay, Lorne! Both literally and metaphorically a ray of sunshine in what's become a rather grim comic, and also helpfully an exposition monkey as I've found it a bit of a confusing morass -- to be honest, I don't think I have the appropriate reading protocols for the way it works. (If I was going to place the blame outside myself, I'd say that it's being written to be read as a trade and I'm not recalling enough prior information month-to-month. But then I'm very much used to absorbing Angel in huge chunks, 'cos as a non-satellite type I first saw most of it through the medium of VHS box sets.) Lots of nice dialogue, as always, that's always been a good point of these comics, and the final complication being caused by and happening to the characters we care about was nicely done, yes.
HoM Avengers #5 OMG they gave it a happy ending. *grin* I'm really surprised, I was convinced this was going to be mutants-fall-everyone-dies. Good use of the thing where Wanda's not (known to be) a mutant in the House of M world in there, too. There's a lot of "oppression is bad" stuff in there too that looks like it wants to be political commentary but is really too uncontroversial, yet still manages to be quite stirring, so that was nice.
Buying HoMA got me a crappy free Marvel plug themselves thingy called "Marvel's Best Selling Authors". It led off on their Stephen King adaptation but very quickly we were at Laurrell K Hamilton and "OMG we got Orson Scott Card to write Iron Man". Fail.
I badly want Cable and Deadpool #50 but last week it had sold out by the time I got to my LCS (and my not-quite-so-L CS had closed down completely in the month since I last went there, which scared me a bit) and they hadn't got any new ones in with this week's comics, which is a bit disappointing.

Oh, my flist is so much more manageable now I'm not watching doctorwho and the big fic comms. Yay! *hugs you all*
Things that are lolarious: Watching crappy music TV and seeing Eric Roberts turn up in an Akon/Eminem video. Oh, TVM Master, you are quite lame really ...
Have just started reading Trading Futures because
Seriously, though, what was going on with the utter absence of Martha/Tosh interaction? My inner tinhat is starting to emerge, and I didn't even know I had one of those.
I don't normally do "tell me about my fic" memes for various reasons, but this one does look like it might have entertaining results if anyone does want to have a go (been all over the place, but last seen with astrogirl2):
The thing is, when people look for stories, they always make it sound like badfic. Now, often that's because it really is badfic, but sometimes it's good and they just suck at describing the story.
So, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to summarize badly any one (or more!) of my stories and I'll try to guess which it is. You could even pretend you don't remember the pairing or fandom to make it harder to guess.
(Almost all my Who fics are at the Teaspoon -- I'm about to belatedly add my not-so-awesome LoM drabbles-of-awesome -- if you wanna refresh your memory, but I think that kind of defeats the point.)

Oh, this is special. (It's the overelaborate rules for a forum for people who like those Twilight books [the chaste Mormon vampire ones] a whole lot, but don't really like the Internet at all. Seen via The Smooter Report.)

Oh, yay, the left! (The RWF lot are going to become Greenham Common, right?) And I now have a favourite character: Sharon, with her intricate knowledge of splitters. Utter <3
I am a bit bored of her mum being involved in Every Single Case, though.
