Realisation while watching Tooth and Claw on BBC3

(not for who_daily, k?)

I like Ten and Rose just fine in S2.

When they're apart.

And not talking about each other.

But the rest of the time: oh, the smug. The horrible, horrible smug. *shudder*

Sarah Jane and Giles and Mickey coming on board properly tomorrow YAY! (My S2 DVD boxset is right next to me, so it's silly to get so excited as I could watch it right now if I wanted. What is it about live transmission that feels more significant somehow? I've never been able to work it out.)

In other news (it being Thursday), a very thin week for comics for me. What If Annihilation Reached Earth? was suitably pointless but worth it for the scene of Nova dressing down the Civil Warriors for being idiots. And the first ish of Angel S6 or whatever they're calling it was OK but rather thinner on Actual Plot than I'd've liked -- it struck me as very confident that people were around for the long haul, and I'm still not sure I am. I did enjoy the Whedonesque dialogue for the demon characters, particularly the telepathic fish. But I did manage to pick up a Sinestro Corps War #2 reprint, so yay for that.

Oh, and happy Thanksgiving, colonial types!

Does anyone else think we're going to get a trial of the Doctor by the Timeys? It's one of the major old school tropes the new series hasn't been…
